Label SUISA Songwriting Camp in September 2026
In collaboration with the Festival Label Suisse and the FCMA-programme “La Cohorte” SUISA is organising a Songwriting Camp in French-speaking Switzerland for the second time. It is taking place in an urban atmosphere in the Artefax studios in the middle of Lausanne, in an environment linked to Label Suisse, the festival that celebrates Swiss music every two years.
This is the motto at the centre of the Label SUISA Songwriting Camp: “tailor made songs for releasing artists”. The intention is to create songs together through co-writing; they are supposed to be tailor-made for the projects of the participating performing artists and therefore have the best preconditions for a release. The objective is that the tracks are performed or played in public later, whether on the radio, via streaming platforms or at concerts or shows.
Open for musical diversity
There are no limits when it comes to style: Basically, all genres of pop music are welcome. It is exactly this kind of openness that turns the Camp into a special opportunity to make the diversity that is Swiss music creation heard and seen, just like the Festival Label Suisse exemplifies.
During each event day, songwriting teams, usually made up of three to four persons are newly put together. In a joint creative process, a new song and the respective demo recording are made within just one day, from scratch. The demo recordings are presented during a public listening session during the Label Suisse Festival on Saturday, 19 September 2026.
Artistic direction
Luk Zimmermann has the artistic direction of the Label SUISA Songwriting Camp. As a long-term musician, composer, producer and studio owner he brings a lot of experience to the table from his songwriting camps, he has expert knowledge of the Swiss pop music scene and is well connected nationally and internationally with the songwriting world. With him the Camp is guaranteed to have a competent and inspiring companion.
