In the three months leading up to the festival, six SUISA members and/or clients were able to take part in a mentoring programme where they could actively work alongside and learn from professionals. With the results of their collaboration in tow, the programme participants report on their experiences at the SUISA panel. There are sound samples to listen to and the producers describe what particularly characterised the collaboration.
From professionals such as Anna Murphy, Cyrielle Formaz and Tom Oehler you can then find out how you can set up shop as a music producer in Switzerland. The focus is on questions such as: How do you become a producer? What does it mean to be a producer in Switzerland? What knowledge/qualities do you need?
The panel will also discuss what a musician should bring to the table to benefit from working with a producer and what to look out for when choosing a suitable producer.

M4music: a multi-faceted festival
In addition to exciting panels, workshops and networking events, the M4music festival offers a wide range of up-and-coming acts on five concert stages. A concentrated array of pop/urban music can be expected from the international acts and many Swiss artists: In the course of more than 40 shows from the afternoon until late at night, they will immerse the Schiffbau area in Zurich in music.
On top of music and know-how, networking is an important aspect of the festival. The established M4music aperitif organised by SUISA and Swissperform offers a good opportunity to do so. It is held on Friday, 22 March 2024 at 7.00pm in the hall in the Schiffbau in Zürich. The hall is located at the rear end of the Schiffbau foyer. All persons with an M4music professional pass have access.
