The Archipel festival in Geneva is staging an extraordinary project demonstrating the quality of musical creation in our country. In “sCHhhh – Traversée expérimentale en Helvétie” (sCHhhh – An Experimental Journey Across Switzerland), 24 artists from cities, the countryside and all the different linguistic regions of the country will come together to create an incredible day-long sonic odyssey.
From midday to midnight, the Salle communale de Plainpalais will be reverberating with experimental music and sound art. Various styles are featured, with written and improvised compositions, songs, some acoustic pieces and some electronic. Some are part of the artists’ repertoires while others, commissioned by Archipel, will be performed for the first time ever.
The wonderful experience of exploring these resonant worlds will be combined with the possibility for artists and audience to come together around a number of tables in the canteen or at the bar. An event that’s absolutely not to be missed, made possible with the combined support of SUISA and Pro Helvetia.
